The 28th Annual Roots of American Music Festival kicked off Saturday afternoon with 3 diverse (but rooted) events: an oral history of Sun Records from the men who made it great; Sid Selvidge recreates Mud Boy & the Neutrons with the next generation of Memphis musicians; and Abigail Washburn performed her roots (and Chinese!) based music to a thrilled Lincoln Center crowd.
